Marija Starcevic is a dedicated author of children's literature known for her playful storytelling and engaging photography and illustrations. She brings learning to life with humor, creativity, and relatable stories that empower young readers and teach them essential life skills.
Born in 1990 in Smederevo, Serbia, Marija relocated to Malta in 2015, where she pursued studies in ACCA. She works as an accountant; however, she finds her greatest joy in writing and illustrating books inspired by the everyday adventures of her children. Her passion for storytelling began in childhood, and she published her first official book, Red Dots and Itchy Spots, in Malta. Now, she is excited to present this newly rewritten and expanded edition.
Inspired by the boundless curiosity of her children, Marija created the DD Brothers Adventures series, turning their endless questions into fun, educational stories. From learning about finances (Kidding Around with Cash), to tackling life's little hiccups (Red Dots and Itchy Spots), her books make complex topics easy and entertaining for children. Her upcoming book, Kidding Around with Time, will introduce kids to time management in an engaging and practical way.

She is also the creative mind behind the Hamsty De Maze series, a whimsical collection of puzzles, mazes, and hamster adventures that spark imagination and problem-solving skills. The latest publication in this series, Winter in Hamstyland: Rhymes and Mazes, is a delightful collection of mazes interwoven with a rhyming story set in a magical winter landscape.
In addition to her series, Marija has authored several educational and activity books aimed at equipping young readers with essential skills. Her mission is to make learning an enjoyable adventure, one story at a time.
